It's not terribly big, about 36mb installed I think and would make an excellent addition to the games section. If you ever loved the original then you'll love this, improved graphics, game-play, equipment, ships and just all around a thoroughly engrossing game. Its open ended game-play makes for variety of play, you can pilot a huge trading vessel, hunt down hardened criminals as a bounty hunter, or be the hunted yourself, as a pirate menacing trade conveys as they slowly make their way through Space. (The original author of Oolite prefers not to consider it a "remake", and there definitely some enhancements over the original).
